Google Sign-In: If you sign in using Google, we receive your Google account email address, name, and profile picture as permitted by your Google account settings.

Name: Your display name is automatically generated from your Yale email address.
Profile Picture: Optionally displayed on your Village profile (you can change this).

To verify your Yale affiliation through your email domain.
To display your profile information to other Village users.
To send you important account notifications.

We do not sell your Google user data to third parties.
We do not use your Google data for advertising purposes.
We do not share your Google data with third parties except as described in this policy.
We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other Google services.

Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate the marketplace, process transactions, and deliver features you request.
User Authentication: To verify your identity and Yale affiliation.
Communication: To send notifications about transactions, messages from other users, and important account updates.

With Other Users: Your name, profile picture, bio, and listing/service information are visible to other Village users to facilitate transactions.

    OneSignal (push notifications)
Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

The Service is intended for Yale University students, faculty, and staff who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

Village is designed exclusively for the Yale University community. We verify all users through their Yale email addresses (@yale.edu) to maintain a trusted marketplace environment. Community partners may also use the Service with verified non-Yale email addresses.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
